Why Room 12 Rocks

I think Room 12 is cool because we show respect and we are nice to each other and we work hard.

We treat each other with respect and respect other peoples property. We never say put downs to each other because we like to be nice to our class mates.

Our teacher helps us when we have hard work to do and she explains to us what to do. We can work with her in groups and one-on-one.

We work hard and try to be quiet when working. We know it is important to try our best. We help each other out when working so that we can finish the task.

This goes to show that Room 12 is the best class in the school. We work hard and like to be proud of the work we finish.

One of the best days of my life.

It was colder than ice on your tounge. I was going to New Plymouth, one of the biggest citys in New Zealand. Three events, one to two hours, one day to do it, one time for victory. I was doing the weet-bix triathalon. I was in a team and I got there at 8:37am. I waited for a few minutes then it began. First up, swimming. It was 1oo metres, a big swim. Ethan was the swimamer for our team. He did really well consisdering it was so cold. Matthew was representing us on the bike. He had to cycle 5km. He tried his hardestkm run, there was lots of up and down hills. Then it was my turn to do the fianl event...the 1.5km run. I paced myself like I always do, i passed a couple of people which was cool. When I got to the end of the finish line we all got a free waterbottle. So yes...this was one of the best days of my life. I had entered my first Weetbix Triathalon and I felt great about it!!!!

McDonalds Ahoy!

I was craving for it! Iwas praying for it! My stomach was rumbling for it! I couldn't wait till the car with me, my sister, my pop and my two cousins Ashton and Joel reached McDonalds I got a strawberry shake and so did Ashton and Joel. My sister got a lime shake and my pop got a decafe soy latte. There was no room left at the table where we were sitting so Joel sat at the table in the corner by the window all by himself. A few minutes later me and my sister Danyelle started calling him a loner and sure enough Joels brother Ashton joined in. My sister got bored and was sick of tired of saying loner to him. So she abandonded us for Joel. So she picked up her milkshake and hauled herself over to Joel's table. His table was the same as all the other tables. White, solid, and square with black dots that look like peppercorns and plastic orange chairs with stainless steel legs. I can't wait until the next holidays because I think my cousins are coming down again. Well, even if they don't I will still hope that they do for next time!!

Rain

"Shiver,Shiver" I grow colder and colder as I write about the loud, heavy rain pouring down outside our classroom. The class sits and grizzles just thinking about staying in for morning tea. I sit and think of what to write as I think to myself "How can I write about rain when it's pouring outside. I sit at my desk and my fingers and toes start to go numb. I look out the window for ideas and see cars zomming past in the sharp, sideways rain with thier window wipers on full speed. I thought they would not stop in this bad weather. I knew it was going to be an inside Morning tea and Lunch!!!

Welcome to Term 2!

Welcome back to Term 2. This term we are learning about places in New Zealand, and we are planning a trip in a few weeks to visit a place in Taranaki.

Room 12 did an awesome Assembly Item in week 10 of Term one, they learned a dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller. Unfortunately Miss W couldn't upload it to the blog as the video was too big and it was taking forever. If you want to see this video, come and visit us in class and we can show you on Miss W's laptop.

We are really looking forward to this term and everything we have to do :-)
